Fuse-web will fuse two fabrics together with the application of heat. Place the web between the 2 layers of fabric and iron over the surface using moderate heat (please test first). The melted glue will hold the fabrics together and stiffen them. It will show on fine silks, so if you have a taffeta lining and an outer silks satin fabric, the taffeta lining may show marks. It doesn't show marks on closely woven cottons, silk satin, Duchesse. If you want to make silk satin shoes, this is perfect because it stiffens the fabrics enough to hold their shape well and there is no fraying at all. Again - test first! You can also apply the webbing to one side of a textile only by placing silicone-paper (non stick baking paper, for example) underneath the exposed fuse-web. Do not iron without protection - the webbing will stick to the iron causing quite a mess.
