This old rayon braid has a fairly thick cotton filler thread running through the center and is therefore quite stiff. It is very suited for stand-up hat decorations. However, it is quite simple to pull out the cotton filler, leaving you with a soft, slightly smaller, soft braid that is easy to form into tight curves.
