Except in a museum, it is unlikely you will find this kind of straw braid at all and even less in a complete, unbroken and original bundle. The plaiting is exquisite and intricate. The straw unbelievably thin and round. This is one of my very special treasures. It dates from about 1890s to early 1900s. It was from a fine French milliners and is in superb condition. I have not undone it, so I go by the label as far as quantity is concerned. But counting the loops, it should be right.
