Stockings worn during the 19th century were often very colorful - sometimes contained even 2 panels in different colors and were often adorned with intricate embroidery as well. White was not the most common color! This jersey fabric made from finely knitted viscose (rayon) plus a small portion of elastan (for the stretch) is perfect for making doll stockings, since they will fit crumple-free, won't slip down and don't end up with ladders!
