I made this unit years go for a Simon&Halbig doll. It works very well. The wires at the top can be pulled apart or moved closer together somewhat, also the bottom twisted wire can be adjusted widthwise in order to fit into a different-shaped head. However, the size of the eyes must be correct for the intended doll. Small pads could be attached to the ends of the vertical wire.
