- This thread is a definite "must" for every doll dressmaker! At last, a superfine, pure cotton thread that works equally well for machine sewing or hand sewing! Can be used for the finest fabrics, both silk and cotton. Available in ecru and white.
- You will probably know the problem: although you made every effort with the dainty doll's dress, the result tended to look coarse because of the thread available was too thick. Furthermore, the thick thread together with the thick needle tended to get caught in the bobbin ruining your fine fabric. Here is the solution to your problems! This thread is so dainty and fine you will hardly be able to see the stiches. You can use it equally well for cotton or silk fabrics. Use the finest sewing machine needle available (# 60 - USA # 8) and you will be delighted with the result. For hand sewing, use sewing needle # 12. Wax the thread for hand sewing to prevent knots.
- Important: You cannot go full speed ahead on your machine when you use this thread, since it is too fine for that and could break (you wouldn't need to with those tinmy garments, anyway). Adjust your machine tension as follows: Loosen the top tension (about 1 to 2 numbers), loosen the bottom tension (about 1/4 turn of the screw on the bobbin case), and use the machine needle # 60 (US # 8). The same goes for the # 120 thread, which is even finer. The effort is worth it!
- If you need to sew a darker fabric by hand, just pass the thread along the felt pad of a matching waterproof felttip pen!
