Shellac, unbleached, per 50 gr.

Soluble in methylated spirits (denatured alcohol)
Place the shellac flakes in a glass container and just cover them with denatured alcohol. Close the container and let the mixture stand for about 24 hours without shaking or stirring. The varnish is now ready for use. Stir the contents thoroughly and they are now ready for use.

Skin glue, per 50 gr.

Soak 1 part of copal powder in 2 parts of cold water for about 3 hours. Then dissolve the mixture in a waterbath (Bain Marie) until the glue is dissolved and use the glue as desired. Instructions for making skin glue paint can be found in Gildebrief 2/1995 and 1/2009.

A very versatile, natural water-bases wax, perfect for finish on the eyelids of sleep eyes. Can also be used for a  finish on papier-mâché doll bodies instead of varnish. Polish to a high gloss with a soft cloth. Apply with a brush, cloth or sprayer.
